Atlanta
bills itself as a big city with southern hospitality, and this is a
case of truth in advertising, as Atlanta offers the best of the big
city – booming nightlife, urban centers, fine arts, high culture –
and the warmest small-town welcome you’ll find anywhere. From the
folksy charm of quaint neighborhoods and historic landmarks to the
bustle of CNN Studios, Atlanta has a lot to offer visitors of all
ages. The Sweet Auburn District, Little Five Points, Decatur Square
and Buckhead are just a few of neighborhoods to check out. For
sports fans, choices abound: catch a Braves game at Turner Field
(known as “the Ted” to locals) or a Falcons game at the Georgia
Dome. For college football, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets play at
Bobby Dodd Stadium.
Americas Mart
America’s Mart
Atlanta is another popular venue for trade shows, and it offers
eight exhibit floors for a total of 850,000 sq. ft. Meeting rooms, a
theater and Grand Atrium combine to add another 60,000 sq. ft. of
available space. America’s Mart is connected to the Westin Peachtree
Plaza Hotel and offers a direct link from Hartsfield International
Airport. America’s Mart is within walking distance of Centennial
Olympic Park.
Cobb Galleria Center
The Cobb Galleria
Centre is an impressive venue within an 88-acre complex on Atlanta’s
Northwest side. The Centre’s 144,000 sq. ft. of exhibit space,
ballroom and meeting spaces are all located on one floor, making the
most of available space. The Renaissance Waverly Hotel is connected
to the facility, as is the Galleria Specialty Mall. A pedestrian sky
bridge connects the Centre to the Sheraton Hotel and Cumberland
Mall.
