Baltimore, known as
The City of Firsts, is one of America’s oldest sea ports. But
Baltimore’s appeal extends far beyond its historical riches. Baltimore
is a thriving metropolis with enough culture, fun and attractions to
keep visitors coming back for more. Steamed crabs are among the culinary
highlights not to be missed when visiting Baltimore. Art lovers should
check out the Baltimore Museum of Art to see works by Matisse, Picasso
and Cezanne, among others. Whatever your pleasure, Baltimore is sure to
please.
In the heart of
downtown Baltimore, The Baltimore Convention Center is among the premier
venues for tradeshows and conventions in the Mid-Atlantic region. The
Convention Center was originally opened in 1979 and was expanded and
renovated in 1996-97. The main exhibition halls are located on one
level, offering 300,000 total square feet of exhibit space. The
mezzanine, ballrooms and meeting rooms are housed on three separate
levels, making this large facility suitable for many purposes. The
Convention Center is close to Interstate 95 and near public
transportation, with easy access to MARC and Baltimore’s Light Rail
system linking Washington and Baltimore’s international airport.
