Los
Angeles, the capital of the entertainment industry, is filled with
so many attractions that deciding what to do with your free time can
be difficult. First, there’s the great outdoors: L.A. County’s 4,000
square miles include deserts, beaches and snowy mountain peaks. As a
result, surfing, hiking, snowboarding, swimming, rock climbing and
many more outdoor pursuits are on the menu. Speaking of menus, L.A.
cuisine runs the gamut of world flavors, and you’ll find dining out
to be a pleasant epicurean adventure. And if it’s adventure you
seek, you’ve got theme parks such as Universal Studios Hollywood and
Disneyland in Anaheim. Other attractions on offer include the La
Brea Tar Pits, the Getty Museum and the strange parade on the Venice
Beach Boardwalk. Whatever your pleasure, Los Angeles is sure to
please.
Los Angeles
Convention Center
The
glass and steel pavilions of Los Angeles Convention Center offer
770,000 sq. ft. of total exhibit space and nearly 150,000 sq. ft. of
meeting space, making the LA Convention Center a prime spot for
trade shows and conventions such as the Greater L.A Car Show, The
Home Show and the California Gift Show. The South Exhibit Hall
(347,000 sq. ft.) is connected to the West Exhibit Hall (210,000 sq.
ft.) by a concourse that extends across Pico Boulevard. This being
L.A., freeway access is vital, and the Convention Center is near
several major freeways, including 10 and 110. L.A.’s DASH Transit
System, Metrolink and Metro Rail & Bus systems also serve the
Convention Center.
